Unreal Engine - Interactive Screen Widget (Blueprint Only)


Hey Guys,

A great find to create a user-friendly interactive screen within UE4. Although from inspection, it does look a little clunky but works all the same.

I plan to possibly use this as a jump-off point, but with the hope to turn it into a much more efficient system and possibly give the developer a range of appearances and custom animation to give it more versatility.

Along with a few simple sprite animations and its creation process done in Photoshop, this is certainly a great way to understand the application of user interactive screens, similar to things you find in Prey. Although I was primarily interested in the minor animations of this project, I think with a couple of adaptions, I could turn this into a security monitoring system so the player can locate interesting objects or NPC's, another thought on an interesting mechanic from a game from my past was TimeSplitters.

That being where you could essentially take control of a security camera and shoot out enemies that you can see on the receiving end.
